Changing interaction circle to something else?

I've been rooting aroung to find where/how I could possibly replace the vanilla interaction circle with my own design, but I'm not having any luck. Anyone know the location of the interaction circle, or just any insight on this at all? I'd really appreciate it.

In the code, I believe the texture is referred to as "guis/textures/pd2/hud_progress_active", if that's any help.
