[MOD] Better Weapon Stats GUI
I have created a mod which allows the more accurate display of skill stats in your inventory screen for weapons. This mod adds decimals out to two places and revamps skills to be in-line with base+mod instead of being completely misleading. There are also several informative popups when you mouse over stats that provide normally hidden as well as derivative stats calculated with others to ease comparing of weapons. Please be sure to read the README before using, or you may not know what to do. This is a work in progress, so there is a possibility of something going wrong.

List of Features:
  • All weaponry stats are shown in greater precision - two decimal places!
  • Mousing over the weapon stats to the right of weapon selection has a unique popup for each category, stated below.
  • Magazine provides reload times and the amount of time it takes to empty a full magazine. Reload time does factor in skills. Shotguns get additional reload information due to their individually fed magazines which allow partial reloading.
  • Total Ammo provides the base and effective ammo pickup amounts for a weapon. The effective one does take into account both skills and penalties from shotgun ammo.
  • RoF provides DPS for all guns and DPS factoring in reload time for all non-individually reloaded guns. Skills are taken into account for both damage and reload time.
  • Damage provides headshots to kill against various enemies on both Overkill and Death Wish. The Helmet Popping bonus is automatically applied if you have it.
  • Accuracy provides the actual spread of your gun in every stance. It also calculates your base+mod multiplier, your skill additive modifier, your weapon innate multiplier, and factors in any diminishing returns in the final value output in the parenthesis.
  • Stability provides your kick range both vertically and horizontally. It also calculates your base+mod multiplier and your skill multiplier. The total kick factors factors both of those in for you.
  • Concealment provides information on your weapon's ammo, if applicable. The GL40 and Frag Shotguns display their blast radius while non frag-shotguns display their pellet count. All shotguns display both base and effective falloff ranges, if the latter is modified.
  • Threat only displays panic chance, which is the chance a unit will become stunned when using the Muscle Perk deck, if the weapon has it.
  • The melee page shows the attack delay, cooldown between attacks, and time until the weapon unequips after your last attack.
  • The armor page shows base player health, total player health, and movement speed in various circumstances factoring in skills.
  • More to come in the future.


Be sure to read the README when you use this, and note that this mod is NOT active until explicitly activated by the user with a keybind activation. If you have any issues or bugs to report please inform me by either PM or reply.

Big shout-out to my friend Seven for doing a lot of the background framework for this mod, without his help this may have never been created.

using and loving it as of last week.
This has gone through a couple updates, so giving it a bump. Just a reminder that anyone interested in easily keeping track of future updates can simply join this Steam Group for announcements when updates are released.

I love it! Really handy for seeing almost all information with a gun :D
Noticed a bug with the stats on sniper rifles.

It displays 16 when it should be 18.. and on the rattlesnake it magically gives it a +2 from a mod.. which doesnt exist.

Thats not a bug but rather a different (and more correct) representation of Sniper Accuracy. The R93 has a base 16 accuracy, as does the Rattlesnake. The R93 cannot increase its accuracy so it is stuck at 16, however the Rattlesnake can with the Long Barrel which raises it to 18. I would recommend making use of the accuracy popup to determine real spread values when comparing snipers as they have some additional modifiers that most weapons lack.
Ah ok, was just confused as to why on the the default stat display was 18. Thanks for the info.
God this is such a huge fix, screw Overkill and their poorly though out weapon balance and decimal that their crap stats hide. Guns that do 40 damage should be doing 40 damage not 39.9-8 no reason.

What sucks now is that I have to go over some of my older guns that were 40 and attempt to fix the damage so that it's more 40+ which means sacrificing accuracy normally. To me ever since they changed the Tech's headshot bonus to a stock 5% I saw a significant decrease in 2 shot headshots.
