Are mods safe to download?
Hey, so I've been wanting to mod for a while now, and I don't know if they're safe to download or not. If any people that use mods see this, have you ever gotten a virus from downloading one or are they safe to download?

Modworkshop and paydaymods (which is dead, apparently) are completely safe. Still, if you are worried about malwares you can always scan the folder.

There are no executables in a mod. It's literally impossible for them to contain a virus, the code inside them can only run inside the game.

However, if you download a "payday 2 mod" from a shady russian website, promising you to win the game, all the money in the world IRL, and hot girls with a press of a button, the you WILL get computer herpes for sure.
