Silent Assassin is Cheating

I've noticed a lot of noobs in public stealth lobbies using this OP mod and it's a good example of the blurred line between customizing the game and straight up cheating.

The mod lets EACH player answer 4 pagers and not even have to answer a pager if the guard is not "alerted", but I've seen pagers still not going off when the guard clearly was alerted. It's hardly a stealth mission when you can easily just kill everyone on the map or don't have to worry about how many pagers you're answering.

To anyone who uses this mod to get through all the one down stealth missions, know that you'll never get the real satisfaction that comes with a successful stealth.

There is no reporting system. Just leave the lobby and be on your way. Better yet, host your own games and you won't have to deal with these people ever again.

If you don't want to play with SA users, then why are you complaining about being kicked by them? Sounds like they gave you what you want.

There is no report tool. You see something you don't like in host's mod list, you leave. Players who circumvent difficulty aren't interesting persons, no need to waste your time with them.

1: take rogue perk deck + overkill aced
2: take explosive crossbow
3:found lobby of ppl who use silent assasin and join
4:stay close to the host and insta switch to the crossbow and shoot in the sky
5: say , i think ovk trapped the mod .
6: enjoy you have all the key for deal with silent assasin user

By the way, you can get rid of SA lobbies by downloading the mod, going into the options of the mod and picking the "Avoid" Matchmaking mode.

Vanilla won't do it for you. At least the mod creator gives you the option. Just go to it, uncheck the option that disables the pager trigger on killing an un alerted guard then the avoid matchmaking and you're on your way (don't forget to set the pager limit back to 4 as the creator defaulted it to 2)

Just check host's mods for SA... And it spares you the explanation to players who'll wonder why SA in on your list and bug you about it, or worse: they could act dumb like post #8.

The satisfaction... of having to slog through Overkill's disgusting, unpleasant, unrewarding, downright awful attempt to make 'stealth' mechanics.
I think people are right to use SA if they want to. Vanilla stealth is f*cking DISMAL.

I understand if there is glitches or desync (usually only due to a bad internet connection), but when it works, stealth can be fun. SA just makes it boring as well as easier which is cheating.
