Unable To Enable/Disable Mods

As mentioned above, I attempted to enable & disable certain mods on my part. Once selected for the former or the latter, the "[Will be enabled/disabled on restart]" notification appears.

Later on, I then exit the game & run it afterwards. However, no alterations were made, including the mods that should have been either enabled or disabled. With that, I'd like to resolve the issue here and seek assistance, if possible.
