Better Bots + Big Lobby Mod help!
Hello and thank you for taking your time to answer this question.
I would like to play Payday with all of the bots at once, but ever since the update I can not. What do I need to change in the .lua file to fix it?
Thank you again for your assistance!:yazdwink:

bump
Don't bump.
Sorry. I just wanted a solution, and didn't want to make a new thread for it when we already have a couple surrounding the topic...

But I guess nobody has a solution.

Increase bots more then 3, would cause your game to be unstable, Better bots isn't made to have more then 3 bots.

This may come a little late, but just in case the help was still needed...

I was suffering the same issue and also had enabled the Big Lobby option in Better Bots' options.
But, I was *also* using Bot Blocking Options to block some characters I wasn't particularly fond of. I tested out my theory on whether this was related by reducing the Set Max Bots in Big Lobby's settings to 6 (as I had about 7-8 favorites) and did the same +1 for the Max Lobby size, although I guess that one probably isn't necessary.

Just started Jewelry Store that I was using as my testing ground for these crashes and lo and behold, it's working. The UI is a little mixed up but I blame that on running an older UI mod that I'll sort out on my own some time (if it ever ends up bothering me).

So yeah, OP, if you'd like to test it out and you happen to also be running Bot Blocking Options, give the above a try. Hope it helps.

tl;dr: apparently the game engine doesn't like having more bots to assign than the assignable amount of bots when using this mixture of mods.

So your saying that you were in fact able to play with all bots at once?

- At first, if I enabled the Big Lobby option in Better Bots, I'd end up with a crash when entering a heist. In specific, the moment the white spinny loading circle on the left while entering the heist is supposed to stop, which I presume is the moment the bots are scripted to spawn in.
- When I disabled that option, I only got the amount of bots specified in Better Bots, ignoring Big Lobby's options, but no crash.
- When I reduced the amount of bots in Big Lobby's settings to equal or below the amount available in the 'pool' of AI characters (which was reduced because of Bot Blocking blocking specific characters as per my desire) and also enabled the Big Lobby option in Better Bots, it worked.

Therefor I've determined, by process of elimination or some such, that the mod Bot Blocking is to blame, not because of a bug but because Payday 2's Engine apparently refuses to place duplicate AI's and will Fatal Error/Crash because of this.

My question to OP is whether they have that mod (or a similar one) installed and/or blocking any bots, as this would be the likely culprit. If so, I assume the solution is self-explanatory.

Ah. I only have Big Lobby and Better Bots installed. Not sure about the rest of them.
