PAYDAY 2

PAYDAY 2

Vis statistikker:
Payday 2 crashed 20 times over 10 hours.
I haven't made any changes to my computer and I updated all of my drivers, ( at the motherboard level and up ) maybe a week or two ago.

It wouldn't surprise me that in 5-11 months you might be having the same problem. The only way you would notice is if you have Task Manager up, and on CPU, showing the uptime, or you have a BIOS password set to prevent booting, or you regularly check Windows 10 Event Viewer.

There's a newer version of the 5900x with B2 stepping ( whatever that means ) so you probably have that one.

Well, if this issue is persistent across the old variant of the 5900X, I'll be seeing issues soon; CPU-Z says Stepping 0, revision B0.
Thankfully I still have my 3600 and my old RAM, if things go pear shaped.

Stepping is literally just which revision/iteration of CPU you have.
Or more correctly, Revisions are smaller changes (minor chiplet changes for efficiency and such) Steps are larger changes (that usually incorporate a few Revisions and changes to those Revisions into a larger update to the architecture).
Mind you, that's simplifying things, and if I'm honest, I'm not sure I fully grasp the subject (I'm a Chemist and a Doctor, not a hardware architecture guy).
