Game minimizes on startup and can't be opened

Whenever I launch the game, it comes up black as if it is going full screen, then minimizes to the taskbar. I open it up, and it repeats it over again, so I cannot play the game. I've tried various fixes including re-starting Steam and my PC, verifying the game caching and re-installing the game and it still won't work. Anyone else encountered this/got a fix?

Also, while I'm at it, my Safe House achieve is bugged. I can't activate the statue as whenever I go in, it just automatically opens.

I have that bug every now and then. When it maximizes, double click in the window the MOMENT it maximizes.

it works on windowed mode aswell just google how to do it

Don't know why, but it just randomly fixed itself.

Just know that it's not a fix, but a workaround. It works everytime, just gotta time it right.

I found that that works too. For some reason it always happens after my windows updates. Then, after a while it's fine again.

simply spam click on the black once you've launched the game and you'll get through. after that choose options windowed mode :)

I too have this problem, happened right after I was already playing Payday 2 but then it told me to restart after I joined the steam group, and when I started it back up this happened, if one of the fixes here works, you probably won't hear back from me if you reply to this.
