This means the game ran out of memory. This is nothing to do with your own hardware specs, the game itself has a limited amount of memory and, unfortunately, is poorly optimised. Turning down Texture Quality and other graphical settings in Options should stop this kind of crashing occuring.
Thanks! Really insightful answer. Guess I'll keep that in mind but it is unfortunate that this is the reason for the crash since it's not something that can be resolved.
Not sure what you mean - it can be resolved by lowering graphical quality.

Keep that in mind when using mods. Even if it goes slightly beyond that, it'll crash your game.
Oof, that's pretty low. Thankfully, I only run a single mod which I use for some basic info + press to interaction.
