Create a Starbreeze Nebula Account" or "Follow the Payday 2 Community Page" bug

Have been dealing with same issue for past few weeks where every new start up of the game will have the main menu showing my Nebula and Community pages as never having been joined. This will keep some things locked in the inventory again and switches my loadouts/masks every time, until I manually go in and fix it and change things back. So far the only solve I've had is to unfollow and refollow the community page, and then go into options and connect the nebula, but it's getting pretty tiring to do that every time I play the game.

Anyone run into this issue before?
Any known fixes besides reinstall? (did that once and still happening)

The only fix is through a mod, specifically vojin154's Fix Community Items Lock[modworkshop.net] mod.

Note that the mod only prevents the issue from occurring on anything that is from following the Steam Community group/hub for the game. Nebula itself is erratic at times.
