Input Lag (Game pretty much unplayable) (PC)
so today i have purchased payday 2 and right when i launched it my mouse was moving behind/ chasing my cursor(or where it should be) so i tried changing the settings to the lowest and changing max fps and all that but nothing really helped. so i was just to stoked to play the game i hopped into a match and it was SUPER hard to aim and your cursor takes its time to get it there.i still played and eventually got somewhat used to this(but its still really hard to play) then i tried googling it and searching up videos, but yet again it still didn't work i installed some driver stuff and everything but nothing works. I also realized that if i tap walk forward it takes some time for my character to move forward.

My Laptop specs are: AMD Radeon 7600m Series
Intel HD Graphics 4000
Generic PnP Moniter
8 Intel Core i7-3632QM @ 2.20GHz
i Believe thats all you need but if you want to see my laptop model
My Laptop: Hp ENVY m6 (Intel core version)
If you want more information there are some other forums that talk about this issue

Hi, I am really sorry you are having trouble playing because it is a good game but from the computer specs you posted you are just on the minimum specs CPU and a little below the minimum in GPU (Graphics)

The minimum is a Nvidia 8800 so your Intel 4000 is a little bit slower than the minimum needed. One recomendation is to upgrade or tone everything to the minimum the game allows and play with a little input lag.

If it was only the mouse problem it could have been Mouse drivers, but the fact that it takes time for the game when you tap forward gave it up. That means that the computer can't keep up with what is going on screen so it stutters and that is what you see.

i just checked and you i somehow also have and amd/ati 7600m Series graphics card you may be right but i can run battlefield 3 easy 30 fps on medium quality and this is less of a graphics driven game. Thanks for the reply though

The default shadow/lighting engine runs at much too high fidelity. Follow these steps to reduce the CPU/GPU power needed for these processes. This fixed anything resembling input lag on my end. http://steamcommunity.com/app/218620/discussions/14/540743213053648828/ (probably in the link above, but this is what you want)

(and for what it's worth, it sounds less like you have input lag and more like CPU/GPU lag)

Well if you have two graphics cards make sure you are using the 7600. That is a decent card.
Also make sure the game is running using that card and not the intel one, download drivers also one way that you could improve your perfomance a little is if you go into bios and disable power saving settings, they are really agressive on laptops. Stuff like that can throttle the CPU and GPU to save power.

Just don't do it if you don't know about bios you could damage your computer.

Also Even if you are using your AMD card you are barely meeting the minimum (That means that what you are seeing is the actual minimum performance the game delivers, not the recomended or top)
Ans probablyt the best your computer can do.

those links didnt work for me but im installing the latest amd drivers so maybe it will help. ok im restarting il post back soon. And please if you have a fix or know a fix or just to make my cpu better/gpu then by all means post it here

i run a pretty stable 30 fps pretty much never goes down and if it does it goes to 27 and i think that good? or is that to slow?

If you are comfortable then you are good to go

i still dont understand the mouse lag? but i guess whatever nothing i can do?
Zombie Jul 17, 2014 @ 4:35pm
It's not mouse lag. It's hardware lag. If you've already turned down graphics settings and actually installed the modification to the shadow engine (not convinced you have), there's very little you can do given that your computer is on the very low end of the power spectrum.

Zombie Jul 17, 2014 @ 7:57pm

No problem. Unforunately, you seem to have gone through all the resources I can recommend (my link, and some other guy's link above me). <3
