Multiplayer and Co-op issue

Hello, I purchased the game a few days ago, and the single-player mode works fine, but I'm unable to join a multiplayer game or invite/join a friend for a co-op session. Do you have any solutions?

I uninstalled and reinstalled Steam and the game, cleared the Steam cache and DNS cache, launched the game as an administrator, tried compatibility resolution, but it only prevented me from opening the game regardless of the chosen Windows version. I also checked and updated all my graphics and network drivers. Windows is up to date, Steam is up to date, and the game is up to date as well.

you and your friends put "-steam -steamMM" in your launch options. Lemme know if it doesn't work.

-steam does exactly nothing...
Only -steamMM works as a command.

Dont worry i cant play with my friends either. Call Tim. The epic games store owner. You can only play this in epic games store for now on. He gave Almir something like 50 million euros so steam doesnt work anymore.

If that's the case, what am I supposed to do with a game that cost me no less than 100 euros with the DLCs and only works halfway?

Ig complain on the forums until they decide to fix it (if they even do). I never had any problems before this. And using just "-steamMM" didnt fix it either.

And now the available multiplayer games are no longer displayed, and the quick search yields nothing. From what I understand by reading various posts about Payday 2, I'm not the only one experiencing this type of issue.

Steam never had the rights to it.

To clarify: Payday 2 used to use Steam matchmaking services to connect you with other players (the game is Peer-To-Peer, there aren't any servers) and worked pretty well for the most part (there were still some issues here and there, but *usually* nothing horrific).

Overkill then decided to add cross-play with Epic, and Steam does not support cross-play via it's matchmaking, and so the entire game was shifted over to EOS (Epic Online Service). As you can imagine, such a huge change to a nearly 10 year old game broke an absolute ton of things, many of which are still broken/missing (no server distance filter, no safehouse raid, etc).

Some people are able to play just fine, and the idea of the update was to allow Epic players to play with Steam; it's just been poorly executed and we're all feeling the pain of this poor execution and handling of the update.
