Hey guys, this has been a long standing problem for me but, whenever i press my PTT button the game drops down from 144hz to about 0 for a split second when both pressing and releasing the button. Ive tried remapping the button, updating drivers and as much else as i can possibly think would fix it. Is anyone else having this problem and/or better yet is there anyway to fix this issue?

Try to run the game without any non essential program.

I originally thought something such as shadowplay might of been the problem so ive disabled geforce experience. other than that i have nothing else other than AV running in the background, no other game has this issues including other source games ive tested i.e GMOD and HL2

Are you running an kind of mods?

no mods, just vanilla

I can confirm it happens. In my case, the game tends to freeze the first time I use it during an instance (mostly for enough time to disconnect myself or other players from games, but sometimes it just lasts for a second or two). Though after it happens, there's no freezing, frame drops nor anything else mentioned here when using it again.

Also running the game with no mods.

What sort of microphone are you using and what is the interface? USB or 3.5mm? ive found that my webcam (USB) takes significantly longer intervals when dropping frames compared to my 3.5mm mic

Have not heard about others having this issue from what I can recall but we will take a look at it

USB here, wouldn't surprise me if it has to do with it as it's not of the best quality there is. My old one (3.5mm) broke so this one's basically a webcam.

Some friends recalled a few days ago about it happening to them at some point too. But it's like that, if you press it once since you started the game (doesn't matter if freezes the game for a few seconds or not at all), it won't happen again until you basically turn off your PC and play again later.

If it helps out the devs, ive found multiple old existing threads each with multiple users reporting the same issue but with no real fixes in them or anything.

This is STILL an issue. I finally figured out why I had this issue and Im looking for answers.

I have a studio grade interface with an XLR studio microphone, the quality and reliability cant get any better, I double checked my already-optimised system and game settings.

Please solve this if you can read it.

This issue recently started happening to me, and I use ptt alot so this is really a bummer
