Payday 2 black screens when starting a heist.

Started payday again after a week without playing and now I get a black screen whenever I start a heist, I can't close the game or ctrl alt delete, I ended up just restarting my pc by pressing the restart button.
I have tried updating my Nvidia drivers and that did not seem to work, any other game runs fine.
The only change to my setup is a new 144Hz gsync monitor, i don't know if that might be a problem.

Specs:
i7 4790k
gtx 1080
16GB ram

Alrigth. At first, please verify the game. It might just be a corrupted game file.
Also please also uninstall all your mods and verify the game again.

Than have a look at this. It´s possible that the game didn´t selected the correct render settings, and you have to do that manuelly. Make sure the game selected your monitor resolution and the correct refresh rate.

In case you keep getting this black screen, have a look at this post, and ensure the game chooses the correct Grafic Card.

Also, if you´re using multiple Monitors, please try to use just one.

Don't forget to go to "advanced video options" and set "streaming chunk KB" to a decently high number. Depending on how old your HDD/SSD is.

Changed refresh rate to 144Hz in the renderer_settings.xml and everything was fixed, thank you so much :D
