And if possible. Set your graphic into the lowest if possible since your GPU is quite troublesome I think.
I'll try and see if I can lower some settings more. I have always had the most performance heavy settings on the lowest/off, such as anti-aliasing, shadows and resolution.
And remember that if you want to use BLT mod. You need to have BLT installed.
You can get BLT from 2 sources.
I've installed BLT mods before, although I might check out the Super BLT.
Please keep in mind this crash has happened several times before while on the main menus. Not a lot is happening at those times.
I'll go through your crash to desktop section in the bug lists thread, check my C++ redistrutables and .NET framework, restarting steam and reboot my pc. I'll play the game as usual and see if the problem persists.

If your HDD is not that great like SSD or a high round per second like Western black edition then you should set this to the minimum so it can help your game getting accessed into any objects and textures in-game faster. Though the object may become something unpleasant since it used more time to get full texture data with a lower steaming chunk size but it will help your PC performance at least a little bit.
