Yo fellas help, Payday 2 won't launch (error 0xc0000142)

Basically new update came, all fine and dandy so im trying to launch pd2 through steam, my name goes into green as if im in-game and then back to blue, game doesn't launch or anything... so when i tried to launch it through EXE in games folder i basically get error 0xc0000142, tried googling it and all i found was some tutorials with massive amounts of dislikes from 2015, its 2018 and i dunno what caused it and how to fix it, anybody got any idea how?

If you have SuperBLT, please update it from https://superblt.znix.xyz/

And Can you post your crash.txt ? if you have it. Here is how you can do it.

How to find crash.txt

1. Open your window explorer or window search bar that is located in Windows icon on the left.
   Copy and paste this line and press Enter.
   

   %localappdata%\PAYDAY 2

2. Find the file called "crash" right click, then open it using notepad or notepad++ programs.
   
3. Copy everything you have got and post it in this thread.

I can't find payday 2 renderer_settings or crash files
The files are probably hidden. To fix that. You must change your folder option to show hidden files, and you should see those files already. Watch this gif picture to understand how to show hidden files[giant.gfycat.com].

The problem is it doesn't crash... it just doesn't launch, i reinstalled whole game and i don't have BLT and its still not launching.

You do have superBLT. Either update it from https://superblt.znix.xyz/ either remove WSOCK32.dll (or IPHLPAPI.dll) from your game folder.

Yep, It worked for me.
Updating Super BLT did the trick

dont work for me, today after the update i cant launch the game, same problem, i try same solution, i downgrade superBLT to BLT, i try everything nothing work, this game lost me

Remove Superblt/blt. If you might also need this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4032938/update-for-visual-c-2013-redistributable-package

Hate to be that guy that posts on a thread a couple years old but this was the exact fix I needed, thank you. Deleting WSHOCK32.dll did the trick!
