PAYDAY 2

I can't click on anything when I alt tab.
Payday 2 itself is fine, but I love to multi task with 2 monitors.

When I alt tab from Payday 2 in windowed mode (Or borderless if I use a 3rd party program from steam), I cannot click on anything anywhere. I cannot interact with my browser, other programs, not even my own desktop/taskbar. I have to Control/Alt/Delete just to be able to click on something else, and this usually freezes my game for long enough to disconnect me from any heist.

Has anyone been able to fix this issue?

This happens to me too. I don't think it's a problem with Payday 2. I think it's Windows being weird.

Have you tried ALT+ESC when this happens? That instantly switches between windows and can fix it.

I haven't tried that yet, Thanks for the heads up though!

Nope, didn't work at all.

Have you tried shift+tabbing to bring up the Steam overlay before tabbing out?

Yes, but it still tends to happen..

Some games automatically lock your mouse into the screen to prevent it from crashing when you click outside the boundary of the first window. That, or your third party software/background prog is locking the cursor to the window.

It IS a good thing believe it or not (for games that suffer an issue unless the mouse is locked the ♥♥♥♥ down) but it is also circumvented. Either peruse your screen mangement program of fancy and look for an option to disable mouse locking or download a fancy suite that will allow you to disable it.

Hopefully you have at least enough info to set yourself on a Google adventure.

I disabled my borderless program while attempting to test this, and it doesn't change anything. Even in windowed mode I still experience the same symptoms.

Thank you for giving me info to start a google spree. x)

For anyone who encounters this issue. I was able to fix it by disabling Steam overlay.

Before I couldn't click anywhere else and it basically bricked my PC, with the exception of Ctrl-Alt-Del. Haven't encountered the issue since.
