1920x1080 zoomed in?
I have this problem with Payday 2 that seems to only affect me (I have seen people with the same issue for different games) where if I try to set it to 1920x1080 (my screen resolution) it seems zoomed in by only a few pixels but that few pixels is enough to get my attention. This usually isn't a problem since I usually play on the second highest resolution but that turned to to mess with my desktop icons which got annoying. If it helps my screen isn't a proper computer monitor but is instead it's a tv (it's the only spare screen in the house). I can give more information if need be as long as this is no lomger a problem. Also I tried editing the resolution in renderer_settings.xml but that glitched my game out and puts it in an even lower resolution and misplaces the game so only the top left corner is visible in the bottom right side of the screen and sometimes it won't have any visible menu options. Also Also as far as I can tell this problem is only happening in this game to me. Any help on this situation would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I have found my problem is in my tv itself and it's overscan. The only way I can see to disable overscan makes the screen look..blurry or just less clear in general.

Edit 2: After a couple of days searching through every setting on this tv and abusing it when nothing worked I finally fixed my problem. If you have this problem and need to fix it yourself if you are using an AMD GPU, open AMD Radeon setting by right clicking on the desktop, go to display and enable "virtual super resolution". I'm not sure if this will cause frame rate issues but I know it fixes this exact problem.

I have a simular problem. it's like it's zoomed in on the top half of the screen for me. I think it's because last night, I installed the creator's upgrade for Windows 10. Did you do the same?

I personally haven't done anything like that but I did buy this PC pre owned so the kid who had it before me could have installed anything. It was clear he wasn't exactly a genius when it comes to PCs

can you post a picture?

Of what?

Of what the game looks like to you. Show us what you mean by zoomed in. I'd post a picture of my game, but when I take a screenshot, it comes up normal, as if the camera can't see what I see.

I took photos on my phone and uploaded them to DeviantArt. This is the sort of thing you see when you set it to 1920x1080?

oh god, no that's nothing like what I see. Mine is sort of like...taking a 25x25cm picture and putting it in a 20x20cm frame. That's the best way I can describe what mine looks like. I'll admit yours is way worse, I feel my problem got a whole lot less valid.

Nonetheless, it feels to me that they're caused by the same thing. I just can't figure out what.

I was right. It was the creator's update. I uninstalled it and PD2's working fine.

I'm glad you fixed your problem. As for me, I'm on Windows 7 so I can't resolve my problem in the same way

go to windowed mode, click on your resolution, exit and restart then set to fullscreen.

So I completely forgot about this thread. I managed to fix my problem by changing the resoultuion in game to something else then to 1920x1080 and magically that fixed it
