Stuttering experience on 3440*1440 ultrawide resolution
I just returned to playday 2 after not playing for over a year. Great game for my ultrawide screen 60hz@3440*1440. However i felt that something was very wrong with the game. Like i had around 20FPS, but steams overlay FPS counter showed around 80-85 fps.
After trying out different settings i have pinpointed that native resolution of 3440*1440 no longer works for some reason. The screen tear and massive stutter or something like that is horrible.

Lowering resolution to 2560*1080 or 2560*1440 fixes the problem.
Do note that i actually have good FPS att all resolution settings. But it feels like 20 FPS in native res so there is some kind of strutter issue here.

This experience is unusual and nothing i have seen in other games so this needs a bug fix. Also the game has not been acting like this before. That high resolustion was working fine a year ago.

Hardware:
i5 4670k @4,4ghz
16gb ddr3
r9 390 (8gb)

1)win + R
2)type %localappdata%
3)open payday 2 folder(before open,turn on feature - show hidden files.)
4)open renderer settings by notepad and change resolutin/refresh rate there.

Yes! This did the trick! The 3440*1440 resolution setting always sets the refresh rate value 30 it seems. Changing this to 60 or 75 made all the difference. Thanks!

However, it is a bit strange that the steam overlay reported high FPS even tho the game engine did not render nearly as many frames per sec when it was cappet to 30. Hmm.

Odd mine is sitting fine @ 60 Hz, crazy stuttering though.

Hmm. Changing resolutions in the file had some strange strething effects for me so i changed back and forth in game to get the resolution settings right.
Maybe changing to lower resolution in game, saving and changing back to native resolution - quit the game and set refresh rate in the file to 75 helps?

Also there is an in game graphics option for refresh rate. I had that on unlimited settings.
