4)open renderer settings by notepad and change resolutin/refresh rate there.
Yes! This did the trick! The 3440*1440 resolution setting always sets the refresh rate value 30 it seems. Changing this to 60 or 75 made all the difference. Thanks!
However, it is a bit strange that the steam overlay reported high FPS even tho the game engine did not render nearly as many frames per sec when it was cappet to 30. Hmm.
Odd mine is sitting fine @ 60 Hz, crazy stuttering though.
Hmm. Changing resolutions in the file had some strange strething effects for me so i changed back and forth in game to get the resolution settings right.
Maybe changing to lower resolution in game, saving and changing back to native resolution - quit the game and set refresh rate in the file to 75 helps?
Also there is an in game graphics option for refresh rate. I had that on unlimited settings.
