Very Poor FPS - 2016 MacBook Pro - Bootcamp Win10
Getting horrible performance. Have to play at 800 x 600 just to get 40-50 FPS on low settings in the safe house, 60 fps at Main Menu screen.

First time playing PD2 on this laptop. As far as I know there is no way to switch off the discrete GPU in bootcamp, so PD2 should be using the AMD GPU. I've checked to make sure I have the latest bootcamp drivers

Radeon Software Version - 16.6
Radeon Software Edition - Crimson
Graphics Chipset - AMD Radeon Pro 460
Memory Size - 4096 MB
Memory Type - GDDR5
Core Clock - 907 MHz
Windows Version - Windows 10 (64 bit)
System Memory - 16 GB
CPU Type - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6920HQ CPU @ 2.90GHz

The fact that you're using a macbook to play a game is already a problem. Did you turn off Flush GPU or VSync?

Yea i tried turning off everything in the Advanced settings. I dont have a problem with other games... Witcher 3, Overwatch, Rocket League, CS:GO, DOTA2, etc...

The game wasn't intended to be played on Apple computers in the first place so it had to be expected the performance is less optimized compared to windows computers.

Unfortunately, we can't help you on this subject for now.

Can always blame the fact that the game has horrible optimization. 40-50 FPS is still pretty good, but you should check renderer_settings.xml (Win + R, %localappdata%, PAYDAY 2 and the file is there), and try to set resolution and refresh rate to what you want/need (can't guarantee that this will work, though, I'm not too sure on what you could do to get more FPS).
But yeah, again, you're trying to play on a mac, so this is one of the reasons of your low FPS probably.

EnforcerKiller, thanks for at least attempting to help.

Honestly if the game is released for Windows, then it shouldnt matter if windows is running on a Mac or any other computer. The specs on this computer are plenty capable of running similar games at much higher FPS - the Payday 2 performance is pitiful.

It's an easy way out to just blame the computer. Especially since it plays other games (newer ones and ones that I would consider much more graphically detailed) just fine makes me think there is something supsect about Payday 2.
