Off Topic: PC vs. Console Gamefaqs poll

So this is kind of interesting to me. Gamefaqs daily poll is the age old question, where do you stand in the PC vs. Console debate.

So far, there have only been 15,282 votes, but the results are a sight to see. With a little over 10,000 votes, the options, "Each platform has its own merits - it all comes down to individual preferences" is in the lead with a little over 66% of the votes. Mind you, this poll has only been up for about 9 hours, but it'll be cool to see how the poll ends up at the end of the day.

I only bring this up because I've seen so many people here in the console sections who think that all PC players are those "PC Master Race" people who think they are better then console players.

I've been a PC gamer for 20+ years now and I love my consoles as well. Even the PC only guys I know have no problems with console players or think they are better because they game on PC. I absolutely hate seeing console players try to stereotype that all PC players or at least, a mass majority of them, are those PC elitest. They really are a small minority, they are just more vocal about it then those who don't care because those who don't care, are too busy playing games.

Now, to be fair.. most console players say most console players are "cod fans". LOL.
Go to any forum for a shooter on console that isn't Call of Duty and you'll see players playing that cod card.

CoD still has fans? I was under the impression that Ghosts killed it. I don't think I've talked to a single person who enjoyed the CoD games AND still liked Ghosts. Granted, I have to take their word for how bad it is, never played it myself, never plan to either. The more CoD you can avoid, the better, if you ask me.

Same here. Last Call of Duty I bought was Black Ops 2 and it was just for the zombie mode. I have a copy of Ghost here for the Xbox One, campaign is god awful. Borrowed it off a buddy of mine who only has it because it was part of the Gamestop Xbox One Bundle he bought. Think I put a whole 1 hour into the game and just sat it off to the side. I told my buddy just the other day, "Sorry, I forgot I still have your copy of Ghost". His reply, "Wow, figured I sold that piece of trash a while back".

I can't really say much, I am a long time Battlefield fan. Though they have been getting a bit stale as of late, that's always been my go to multiplayer FPS. I only hope with the change to a police setting that Hardline changes it up enough to make the game feel fresh, though somehow.. I feel it'll just end up being Battlefield 4 with cops.

Only Battlefield I ever played was 3. Was a lot of fun, but the 2 gig update file was eating up a lot of space I needed, so I ended up having to delete that. Hardline has looked pretty interesting, though.

I PC game but console game a lot more they both have their benefits I don't understand why people stereotype the two, then again I don't understand lots of things people do lol

So true! I am an old school gamer. My first console was this god awful little black box that only played the game Pong. The first online game I ever played was the origial DOOM over a service called DWANGO. I remember the Sega vs. Nintendo console war, still loved the old Genisis commercials, "Sega does what NintenDONT". I remember being the only kid in my school to own a Turbografx-16. I remember thinking Sony's Playstation was going to flop, cause who the hell would want to use CDs for games and use little memory cards to store their save files. I remember thinking that the original Xbox was going to flop and that nobody would ever like Halo: Combat Evolved.

Oh how things have changed!

When it's all said and done, I've been gaming for well over 20 years. Which console or computer OS you play on, what resoluation it's running at, how high your graphics are running, none of that should matter at the end of the day. Old school, new school, retro, or indie, it's all games. People should play to play and have fun while doing it, let other's play where and how they want. The people who really win, are the people who own it all and play it all, for those are the ones that know what being a true gamer is all about!

You know, I somehow missed that entire generation of gaming. Ended up going from an Atari 2600 straight to a PS1. Man, was that a jump! Couldn't beat the third level in Crash Bandicoot, but at least I was decent at Pac-man... or was... pretty sure I'd suck at it now.

Also, what the hell is a Turbografx-16? I've never heard of it before XD

It came out around the same time as the SNES and Genisis. A company called NEC put it out, didn't really do all that great. Their mascot was a caveman named Bonk, from their game Bonk's Adventure. One odd thing about the system, it allowed up to 5 players to play together on some games (Only 1 game I can think of, which was a Gauntlet knock off). Everything put out on it was pretty much a knock off of some other game, though the console did have a sweet Pinball RPG like game that was awesome. They sell pretty much the whole system's game library over the Virtual Console on the Wii now a days.
