We have some guides to help you get started here - happy modding :D
https://docs.google.com/document/d/18tYXL-YpBBvK9pEjt-LNlpKHtZFD5dn0s-xYH60MwAc/
I remember making custom rugs/wallpapers/pictures being easier in previous games. Will the simple processes make a comeback?
Also the modding is not really comprehensive, its mostly about textures and items.
A bit disappointing to be honest. This game could FLY if you extend the modding capabitlites a lot more, e.g. in to the UI / gameplay loops / sound / core engine parameters (like just simply increase limits or min/max paremeters of visitors?) - overall I dont think this approach will help the game in any way. There will be rarely any mods at the current state and the game will die quickly. You are wasting money opportunites here to keep the game active for a longer period of time.
Could we have a guide for floors too? :)
Floors currently aren't possible (they're more technical that walls what with the line tool and triangles) - but the team is aware they're heavily requested!
Could you please make the documentation available somewhere that is not requiring to create a google account? (or any other account)
Thank you.
Could you let me know which you're having issue with? We can look into hosting them here on Steam in some way.
I used to be more capable with tech, but disease progression in my chronic illnesses has made it very difficult to do even the things I used to be good at, let alone learning how to use Unity.
I remember it was much easier to make wallpapers, floors, and even posters for Two Point Hospital, though I kept them for personal use and never uploaded them.
Thanks for working on a way to make modding more accessible, and I hope that the Just UGC campaign comes back when it doesn't require knowledge of Unity.
