A dilemma solution let me get a permanent pristine copy of a temporary Showcase Exhibit.

Not 100% if this is a bug, but I figured I'd put it here just in case:

One of the dilemmas you can get on an expedition is that one of your exhibits is fake, and an expert can deliver a real one for a fee. I took the offer, and for $2000, you get a Pristine copy of one of the exhibits you have on display.

All good, right? Trouble is, it's a pristine Penny Pincher, a General-themed Showcase Exhibit that was on loan for a challenge. Was this supposed to be in the pool of available exhibits, or is it an error? Seems like this dilemma might be coded for "a copy of any exhibit that's on display," and there wasn't a spot on the exclusion list for the Showcase Exhibits.

If I remember the text, the character from that dilemna says the Penny Pincher owned by Two Point County, the one lent to you on occasion, is a fake one, and that you're given the opportunity to buy a genuine (pristine) one for yourself
I don't think this dilemna's intended to give you a pristine version of another random exhibit
Though I'm wondering if you're not supposed to get a random Showcase Exhibit, and not always the Penny Pincher, which seems to always be the case so far

Maybe. Part of what makes me wonder if it's a bug is that I got the shiny sticker for having a pristine one, but the shiny condition for the Penny Pincher is supposed to be (and is still listed as needing) having a certain number of people view it, rather than having a pristine version.

Yeah, I think unlocking its shiny sticker from getting a pristine version is a bug (probably an oversight from how other exhibits get their shiny stickers unlocked) which I already reported

Hi guys,

I can confirm that this is a deliberate 'hidden' exhibit. The showcase exhibits can generally only displayed through the showcase offers, however the Penny Pincher can be unlocked to own through the dilemma mentioned.

The shiny sticker unlock is intended to be unlockable as normal with the pristine version, or through views while displayed like the other showcase exhibits. We don't overtly state that as we don't want to give away the surprise :)
