Cant link Two Point County account to game....

Hello,
i also have this problem, the game starts and when it reaches the main menu, it starts lagging out the entire pc, the mouse stutters, sound stutters. That lasts for about 15-20 seconds. Then everything goes back to normal. The game says it's not connected, but i can see that it downloads and uploads data after the stutter. I can also see that it opens hundreds of connections in this short time, most of them going to the same ip address.

I have tried different things to fix it, from adding the game to the Anti Malware exclusions to verifying the game files. I also made sure it has unrestricted access to the internet and i can see in the log files, that the connections are successful and data is up- and downloaded, some connections with several megabytes, others with just a few bytes.

It gets curious when i disable internet access for the game, because then it starts up absolutely normal and runs just fine.

My CPU is an I7-11700k with 32 GB Ram, i'm on the latest Win 10 Version, so i don't think any of that is an issue.

Hey Shaori, this sounds pretty awful! Random question for you: do you have a large number of Steam friends? Like, in the hundreds? We've been investigating a similar issue for PS5 and it could be linked! If it is, then we have some improvements on the way soon :)

For the issues linking the game to Two Point County, Killa Cam/Babybell/MotherofDragons, we think these are problems with the Two Point County back-end. yes it is pretty awful. No i don't have a lot of steam friends, i'm actually under ten. I've tried the new builds whenever an update came out, but so far nothing has changed.

Thanks - it can't be the same problem, there must be something else going on. We do make some requests at startup, for things like our error tracking system, analytics, Steam etc - but there shouldn't be a huge number of them. The one that *was* out of control was the one that scales based on the number of friends you have. And even then, we wait on everything asynchronously - it shouldn't affect how smoothly the game runs at all... but clearly it is, for you!

It sounds like you're quite technical since you've identified the IPs the game is sending requests to - if you captured this as a report (Wireshark or similar), would you mind sending this to us along with your log files, so I can check if there's anything unexpected happening? You can send them to [e-mail] and I'll have a look through! Thanks!
