Are unique items unique to a save file of just the map?

Say i get a unique ghost in the haunted mansion can i also get that ghost in Memento Mori?

Each famous spirit can be found once for each museum, so you can have one in each museum if you want.

that achievement doesnt mean its possible. It is 100% possible to do but that achievement isnt proof

That would be the opposite of proof, as you need to have all four ghosts on the same map to trigger the achievement. That doesn’t tell you anything about getting the same unique spirit more than once.

The fact that I have Biff Silverbottom at both Memento Mile and Wailon Lodge would be a type of proof that it’s map-based.

I already got like the same type of unique ghosts in the other Museums for that achievement before I decided to capture all 3 of them from other maps on the haunted Hotel Museum which I did and got the achievement. So yes you can capture the same Unique Ghosts twice as long as you are in a different Museum.

It is possible if you already capture the said ghosts in other Museums and then capture them again in an other Museum. It is not like we can transfer exhibit between our Museums so it is possible.

I think the question here is more like, if you found a unique ghost in a particular museum and sold/deconstructed it by accident, will you be able to obtain that ghost again if you start an expedition. Some other posts here in the forum state that they tried to get that ghost several times but never got it again. Whether that's a bug or intended design is unclear at this moment.

I think it should be unique to a musuem by not appearing in the loot table further once you have it present in your current museum. If you sold it, deconstructed it or the like it should show up in the loottable again.

I have been told that you can get a spirit again if it loses patience and leaves (unique spirits cannot be deconstructed*), but I am definitely too nervous to test it myself.

* Captain Alternate Yesterday is Famous, but not unique, and is treated differently to the others.

I think it should be unique to a musuem by not appearing in the loot table further once you have it present in your current museum. If you sold it, deconstructed it or the like it should show up in the loottable again.

No idea on that and will never test that out, I always make sure they are happy and we get full knowledge of those unique ghosts and will never sell it. However if you did do a Boo Boo and it did happen, you would have to try again at another Museum and capture the unique ghost all over again if you can't get them again.

Unique exhibits are one per map. Meaning you can get an unique spirit once a map/museum. If stolen/sold/rage quited, you can get them again with an expedition.
