Marine Museum Perks - Where can you put them in tanks?
I have 4 tanks and a ton of perks piled up but I'm not able to attach them to any of my filters or feeders even though there's empty spots for them. Anyone know why?

Just keep playing and you'll unlock the ability to upgrade those items and then you'll be able to add perks to them.

There are different types of perks. Do you have the right one for the filters and feeders? They need perks like -25% maintenance.

I think that's the issue. It's just kind of weird because 80% of my museum is tanks but the fish I'm analyzing don't give me perks for the tanks. So I'm not sure where to get those perks from..
Same issue here - perks that are great in other museums like extra buzz, etc, have no place in the fish tanks and just pile up unless you want to waste them on non-pristine Wetlantian statuary. Perhaps higher ***-ratings will give us a solution to this?

So when someone figures this out please give us the location of where those perks can be obtained please.
Agreed. All my filters have maintenance perks, but I don’t have a single one eligible to put on feeders. I’ve 5-started everything, I’ve been to every location, unless they come from one or two very specific exhibits that I only ever obtained enough of to deconstruct for knowledge, I’m at a loss.
I asked about perks for feeders in another thread a while back:

There is a perk for feeders that "Reduces rates of food dispenser stock decay by 25%" - I can't recall its name currently. This is the only one I've seen and I only saw it in the Elementary Shoal challenge (they give you 5 at the start of the challenge).

I have yet to see that perk in my game, but it may be similar to the one that locks down an exhibit in being a super rare potential reward when you get random perks from an event during an expedition.
Play along and you will notice that some fishes that love fresh food will eat other fishes, even those that love fresh food as well. You will need to separate them.

I’m not sure what this has to do with perks?

I'll check that out.
I wonder if certain perks are only a one time reward. I hit the 1,000 mark for analysis after the initial bolted down perk reward and have yet to see another one since. I've tried analyzing numerous varied exhibits along with differing quality, assigned research staff, and research level.

I have received a few bolted down perks as random rewards when resolving expedition events. I also got one in the space museum when an expert dug-up one of the fallen debris piles one time.

You analysis the exhibits and you get perks from it also. However only the robot perks comes from the expeditions in that underground lab.

That's also not what we're talking about here, though.

I wish the game didn't constantly give me the pop ups that I can add perks to my marine stuff when I don't actually have any perks that qualify for it. What's the point of telling me I can, when I can't?

Heya, thanks for your feedback all!

Passed this onto the designers and they've been taking a look today; they've logged a bug where an incorrect Perk can be applied on the Fish Feeders, and are discussing ways to reward the relevant Perk, as, as you've all found, it's so very rare to earn it whilst analysing fish.
