DLC thoughts
Just wondering what people think the first DLCs will be like. Personally, I'm hoping we get a medieval theme. A renaissance/art museum theme would be cool as well.

Art museum I could imagine, with a new way of getting exhibits since you don't exactly go on exploring expeditions for art pieces.

I suspect the devs consciously avoided doing human history in this game, given all the real-life politics around museums holding cultural relics.

I want to see outdoor displays and activities. Just about every museum I have been to has at least one large outdoor sculpture or model, like a T-rex in front of a natural history museum or a rocket by a space museum, and/or something to do outside like using a lever to lift a car or stargazing. I know some exhibits can be placed outside currently, but it's not quite the same scope and scale. The DLC could be a new job category (exhibit designer or something) for the Expert class, a new type of workshop (a studio?) and a new museum map with limited building space but large grounds that can be developed. I'm not sure if a whole new expedition setup would work, but new "inspiration" POI's for the current areas could be fit in that unlock the new displays, similar to blueprints, with different rarity levels opening new customization options rather than perks.
The first DLC is already out. It contains items and features that should have been in the base game. Hope it doesn't continue like that.
I am hopeful for a Hospital-themed museum that features expeditions to locations from TPH, some of the decorations from that game and its expansions, and maybe even some of the mechanics--maybe some of the exhibits are actually for treating museum visitors.

TPC had a medicine school so why not a medicine museum?

Art, Movie and Music Museum seem the most likely. Creating exhibits with the ...help.. of Roderick Cushion, Jasmine Odyssey and Zara Fitzpocket.

I'm sure there be a Fore-History Museum with Captain Yesterday.

They could even do something silly lore with a military Museum. where you aid an old veteran called something like Arnold Brutus Sockswinger and claim old equipment from the battlefields against 'The Mole men of 6ft Ditch'

I want to see mummies wrecking havoc, curses and ancient looking cat gods.

I loved the direction they went with the cheese, another goofy theme like that would be fun too ^.^

I would love to see an Egypt themed Museum!
I will buy anything :D Probably it will be a new exploration area with new items/exhibits.
But I hope for some more QoL / game mechanic / feature updates too.

The inspiration I gained from ghosts, maybe add a superhuman museum, them have various special abilities.
Of course, nobody can control them, they were not captured, but hired to work, occasionally disappearing suddenly from the room
MAGA and Trump Worshipper DLC will be super fun.
Probably an anti thief DLC since so many people are crying over having to deal with an insanely simple gameplay mechanic
