Stuck on epic botany exhibit

(this is similar to the other discussion but worse)

so, i read the other discussion which explains the quality maximum is due to *only* the uncovered maximum.... well... i have uncovered ALL plants and cant get a single one at *epic* :'(

Not sure what you mean by uncovered maximum, but you're more likely to get higher quality exhibits by increasing your survey level of a single POI. Repeat the same POI to increase your survey level. Having an expert with the survey skill helps a ton. You will eventually be able to get epic or higher rarity exhibits.

wait... so even if my max quality is currently pristine, i can still go to those places to stack the quality?

You can go back to those places and keep looking for better quality plants to replace the ones you have, yes. But remember that when you have a site's survey maxed out to Pristine, that's still the max level you COULD bring an item back as, it's not guaranteed, so be prepared to make a lot of repeat trips. But since you can analyze them to gain knowledge or sell them (I'm not sure how far along you are so I'll stop there) repeating the trip isn't a lost cause by any means.
