Traits & Perks
Some exhibits have a Trait that can be good or bad.
Intrigue + 1 Knowledge, so I put three Knowledge perks into it to get 4 total.
Amusing + 1 to Entertainment, so three Entertainment perks should bring it to 4 total.

When working with negative Traits like Eternal Slumber - 1 Energy.
I use three Energy perks to combat the negative trait; at least, I think that's how it should work.

My question is, when the exhibit is Boring, is Entertainment or Buzz the right choice?
Also, is there any way to combat Dump Scare?

There is a perk that allows you to negate negative effects. It's rather rare and I'm not sure if it works on all exhibits

If an exhibit is boring, entertainment perks, not buzz, will counter its effects. Buzz has no effect on what the boring trait does.

In most cases you could also just do expeditions to get a replacement exhibit that doesn't have the 'boring' trait in the first place. For Space exhibits, cursed objects and Marine Life exhibits the traits are random, so you aren't stuck with a negative trait unless you just don't want to spend the time trying to get better.

For Dump Scare, that's what I do...I never place them in the first place. I just keep doing expeditions until I get a different trait. There is no exhibit that has Dump Scare as a fixed, static trait.

I must be unlucky then because I have three different exhibits with Dump Scare.

Yeah unfortunately those ones are quite common on spirit exhibits. But it is possible to roll a positive effect, just need to keep hitting the POI. For a long time i couldn't get a positive Spirit phone or whatever it's called but i eventually did.
I feel like some exhibits have a much higher chance of rolling a specific negative trait vs. a good one. I spent many hours retrying over and over before finally getting a decent perk on one of the marine life ones. All I got was "boring" for probably 15+ in a row.
