You have to go back to the Sponsorships page, and the option to place item will be there.

He is asking about the Scent Situator, which is an item you craft in the workshop, not the sponsorship which gives off scent. The sponsorship has an entirely different name.

The scent situator is located in the inventory on the tab named "Utilities and Displays", which is right after the "Exhibits" tab.

The tab only exists if there is something actually in the tab, so if you don't have that tab then you no longer have a scent situator. Unlike exhibits, if you pick up a scent situator and then right click, it gets sold, not returned to inventory.

The same is true if you do an area demolition task. Unlike exhibits, Scent Situators cannot be returned to inventory once they have been put up. You'll need to craft another one.

If you 'right click away' a scent situator you sell it automatically. At least that's the behavior in my game. Not sure if this is intended or a bug though. But crafting those is not that expensive.

Note, don't overdue it with the scent situator as you might get a debuff on you visitors for sniffing to many smells. Not sure though what that debuff is actually called and what it is causing anymore.

I think that works the same as the debuff from speakers. It only occurs if you have different ones that actually overlap. i.e. it has nothing to do with "too many", but rather is caused by the conflicting overlap.

Also worth noting that "Whiff of Cheese" scent from Cheese-Moongers and "Nice Face Smell" from the Assistant trait are not factors at all in the 'conflicting scent' thing.

That would be strange as in one museum all scent situators I placed were for convincing people to go shopping (no café at this point) and I noticed a debuff on my visitors. Though that's already some weeks ago
Did you also have the sponsorship item? I haven’t tried it because it says it reduces happiness and there are better sponsorships.

I avoided that sponsorship for the same reason at first. But give it a go the penalty hit is actually nothing depending on where you put the exhibit. I think it's -15% happiness penalty but only for 7 days. The 7 days will only deplete when they're out of range of it but a ton of people tend to view it, like they seem to love going over to the pongy thing, which means tons of rapid money. I used to use the wall sign and cheesy plushies one, but i noticed my guests wouldn't view the sign all that much so i give the ''stinkpot'' a go. I actually have never earnt a single dollar from the bungle-d bin, not sure if it is bugged or what but yeah.

Anyway, back on topic i have not unlocked/seen the item in question so sorry about that, thought you meant the sponsorship item.
