Explorer Edition and Steam Family Sharing

My SO purchased the Explorer Edition on their Steam account, and I've started playing it through our shared library. When I load the game it says I've got the EE, but there's no DLC, or even any option to download it through Steam.

Just wondering if anyone knows if the EE content should be available in this situation, or if it's been specifically excluded from sharing in Steam Families? Can't find any info about it anywhere.

Did they log into their 2 point account from the game start screen? Doing this will unlock the EE items on their account, though as to whether they'll be available to family share I'm not sure.

Seems a weird one. I tried on my sons account and he has none of the DLC, no way to activate it either.
Only on my account.

Easy to get around if you know what you're doing, but I assume it shouldn't be like this. all my other games still have the DLC when using family share.

The Explorer Edition items are setup as a DLC - Steam's forums suggests that if you do not own the game, it should share the game AND DLCs but if you do own the base edition it won't share DLC

To check DLC content you can right click Museum in your Steam library > Properties > DLCs and there should be check boxes next to the content

This seems like a weird Steam Family Sharing quirk sadly - I know they're changing how it functions so perhaps one to get in touch with them about?

Thanks for the responses. I managed to track down the DLC on SteamDB, and according to that it's excluded from sharing due to the early access period, so hopefully it will become shareable later today
