This was a rude response. Ryuukaze knew exactly what they were talking about. If your employee is cursed, what you "HAVE to" do is take them on an expedition to Curses, Curses, Curses and get them cured. Curses must be cured. Just like diseases. Don't mock people because you don't understand their answer to your question.

be clearer in what you're asking then because you're coming across as rude.

if you're talking about 'traumatic XP' curse it absolutely can be cured at 'curses, curses, curses' map location, send your cursed staff there and when they come back it's gone. if it's not for you then you have a bug but 'traumatic XP' is the only XP curse I've come across and it's easily cured at 'curses, curses, curses' map location.

If you're talking about impacts the negative effects your haunted exhibits have on staff and guests then you need to install the perk that neutralises the negative effect but it's a really rare perk so just go find a replacement exhibit.

what is the exact name of the curse you're talking about so people can help you better?
The "curse" is the Afterlife Experience, which appears to be a good thing, possibly, though I too have not been able to determine the exact benefit.

I've gotten it several times, and have never cured it nor have I noticed any negative experiences from it. My best guess was it gave the person who got it a temporary happiness buff, but I have no proof of that whatsoever, sorry.

You say it has the purple icon, but you also say that it’s called Afterlife XP, which is a green buff, not a curse. You call us ignorant, but are providing conflicting information and expecting us to know what you mean.

Afterlife Experience: green happy icon, buff, card image looks like a happy ghost in a bottle, no info on tooltip; [edit: as per posts below, it does convey a status effect, which appears (as of this edit) to have the incorrect icon; it grants additional XP].

Traumatic Experience: purple demon icon, curse, card image looks like a sad head in a fire burst, tooltip tells you how to remove the curse; this does give the affected staff member a status effect, preventing them from gaining experience until they are cured.

I can’t find any other events with experience in the name.

Afterlife Experience: green happy icon, buff, card image looks like a happy ghost in a bottle, no info on tooltip; it does not convey a status effect, but I believe it gives an XP boost for that expedition, same as Rally Cry, i haven’t confirmed this, however.

Traumatic Experience: purple demon icon, curse, card image looks like a sad head in a fire burst, tooltip tells you how to remove the curse; this does give the affected staff member a status effect, preventing them from gaining experience until they are cured.

It has BOTH icons green and purple... depending on where you look it changes.

"Afterlife Experience: green happy icon, buff, card image looks like a happy ghost in a bottle, no info on tooltip; it does not convey a status effect, but I believe it gives an XP boost for that expedition""

During that mission sometimes i noticed it says +0 Exp.....

Wrong... no youre wrong LOL they did NOT know and neither do you. It was not an answer to my question as they did not respond to what "afterlife exp" is/or was.

Gonna report this post as well? Again do not offer help if it is not correct it wastes peoples time, same with defending people who are wrong.

The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
Reluctant to poke my nose in since the conversation seems a bit tense, but the answer to OP's original question is that Afterlife XP is a temporary blessing, not a negative curse so no need to remove it. The staff member earns extra experience points for their activities while it's active. Security guard got 6xp for emptying a donation bin instead of the usual 3xp. Ticket taker assistant also earned double the usual xp for each ticket sold until the temporary blessing wore off.

THANK YOU SO DAMN MUCH FINALLY!!!!!!

Wish this was stated in the game itself in the tooltip!

I went though every location in the Netherworld and looked at all the events and no where did it appear purple. You may have found a bug.
When you look at the employee with the green Afterlife XP showing in their list of effects, you can see the description has the purple curse icon at the top right beside Afterlfe XP and says in the description below "bursting with undead experience". It is green, but still has the purple curse face icon.
That does sound like a bug, or at least confusing as hell. I’ve never seen a staff member with the status effect, to the point that I genuinely thought it did not apply one. I guess I just haven’t been checking in fast enough.
