Does this game have an ending?

I just read something about getting the 13th star on a museum? Is there a point where the game is complete?

getting 5 stars in story museums is pretty much it. Story seems to end there but you can still keep going on your museum and unlock next levels and stars.

Personaly I go for 5 stars in all museums and then gonna chill in sandbox mode from time to time

This is pretty par for the course for the other titles. I'm guessing new museums to come with new mission sites as expansions.

There are a series of missions that end at 5 stars in each individual museum.

After that, it's just unlimited growth for the sake of it.

Practically its endless. My goal is to get all stickers to gold and have atleast 5+ stars museum everywhere and get all archievements. Thats when I kind of think the game is finished.
