Employees leveling to slow or am i missing something?
I'm currently at the campaign where you need 4 Stars on your museums. The problem i find myself is now that i need Specialists from other fields to reach my goals or to go on expeditions or sometimes lack an employee with a certain trait. Or someone with a second level trait, which means i would have to get them to level ten.

That means you have to hire someone new, but leveling up seems sooooo slowly for everything thats not the security room or marketing, just takes them forever to level up.
The exp expeditions seems very expensive and also not giving very much for the buck. You are also not able to buy higher skilled workers, the maximum i saw is level 3, so if i need someone with a second level trait, i would also need that guy to come without a trait or the desired trait in the first place and then i still have to get him to level 5 quick

Is there a way to train your workers directly, cause i feel like getting them to level 15 or 20 with just expeditions seems super ineffecient.

Or did i miss it, how you can higher skilled workers?

If you have unlocked the spooky zone, there is a school you can send one person to level their XP - second helipad is your friend for this.
I find the area to send your staff to for XP to be abysmally slow . . . you get like 56 XP for $25,000, and when you have to have hundreds of XP for just one level, it's not worth it at all.

The fastest way I have found to do it is to hire someone new with a blank slot if you need only one skill point in something, and then train them for what you need. If you need two skill points again hire someone new if you don't have one with one skill point already, and look for a mission that needs one of that worker with that school, and send them out (with another person if needed) using the XP boost supply to that mission as much as needed to get them to their second slot. It's much more cost effective and it seems like you get a lot more XP, plus you can sell what you find and usually come out ahead of the game financially. Not 100% sure but I think that running detailed missions gives an XP boost; I haven't tested it, but it sure seems that way. Someone say I'm wrong on that point if I am.

Edited to add: I have hired Lv 5 workers, but they are very rare.

It does seem to scale. I had a janitor getting ~250XP per trip to the After Life Academy at levels 18+.
experts you can lvl pretty good with analysis
i find that janitors lvl the slowest of the 4, cleaning a toilet gives like 4xp lol

It's also more base xp than what it shows for the xp gained shown on the returning staff when you finish the expedition.

The expedition bonus (chest reward) xp is not shown in the total xp rewarded when they return from the expedition, because it is not added until you actually open the chest, which is after it shows you the returning staff member and their xp gain.

In other words, it gives more xp than people will realize if they aren't actually looking at their staff member's xp after the chest is opened.

For example, I just sent an expert on that expedition who was at 127/300 xp into level 4. Upon returning, it showed he gained +69 xp on the expedition reward screen. Then I opened the reward box and selected the expert and it showed him at 3/500 xp into level 5. That's a gain of 176 xp total, not just 69.

There seems to be some random factor involved in the base xp rewarded as well. Regardless, it gives quite a bit more than "56 Xp for $25,000". Though I still think it's a pretty low amount for what it costs.

Do we actually use these or is is automatically used when we return ?. It makes us claim it which says to me, we use it later to apply XP. But I see nowhere to use them.

Claiming it instantly credits the XP to the staff member, but without it saying how much XP it's crediting at any time, it's hard to see if it is worthwhile at all for the cost.
