Archways?

I don't get how to build archways. It says I need a barrier wall but no matter which one I build it says its the wrong one.

The one you need is the wall that is listed first in the Foundations tab. You can't place archways on any walls that are placed using the Rooms feature, like exterior walls or Staff rooms or bathrooms. I hope that helps.

(I'd post a screenshot but I'm not sure how. If anyone would be kind enough to explain it to me like I'm a very maladjusted five year old, I'd appreciate it.)

yeah it was just misguiding ingame, thank you! I though the ceiling high wall is the regular one.
