How many stars is the max you can you get on a museum?

I've just hit 6 stars on a museum and am starting to wonder if the curator class and stars on museums are endless as in there can always be additional tasks of "gain some more buzz" or similar.

Anyone knows? I'm curious

Though I've only gotten to 3 stars myself, I bet it goes to 5 stars but you probably unlock all features of the game around 3-4 stars.

I've unlocked the ability to go to 8 stars. I've been assuming it was 10 max, but I don't actually know that.

There's an achievement for 10 stars in sandbox mode, so that's likely the max. I haven't hit it either yet so I can't say for sure from personal experience.

Achievement is for level 10 museum, not 10 stars.

You complete the game at 5 stars on every museum in campaign then there is a running buzz bonus and curator rank to get X stars per rank that goes on forever but doesn't provide anything new.

I have 14 stars on most of my museums and it seems to go higher, burnt myself out a little bit so I'll come back and go higher later - my guess is 20 though based on the little picture and stars going around it

At which stars do you then 'finish' the storyline of that museum? Like fixing the Oasis, or doing up the hotel?

Five stars per location is the main campaign - after that is procedural stars to continue building up your museum empire!
