We're a friendly and inclusive studio and stand-by ensuring that not only our office environment champions that (as happy devs make good games!) but we also strive to see that reflected in our titles.
First and foremost our games are management sims, so of course they're less character-driven, but our approach to how NPCs are generated in-game (whether that's patients, students and now guests) has remained pretty much the same across all three games. We found something that worked, and whilst Museum has new guest archetypes (like the cave people!) how they're generated is the same, with their randomly assigned silly names, wacky outfits and outrageous hair included.
My hope is to olive branch here and try to de-escalate, we're not trying to push an agenda, when our characters have names like "Sausage McBoatface", it's really not the time and place. We just wanna reflect a real life museum in a cosy 'Two Point'-y way, but with a heavy dose of British Humour of course.
If you are of this opinion, FYI Campus is on certain 'avoid' lists, and by those standards Museum would make it on there too.
And to answer your last question, we have been hiring recently (we're a small studio who've made it through a challenging year for the industry unscathed, thankfully!), but the whole team is always thinking about what's best for our players when making decisions, and what's best for our players is to take what's worked in our previous games, take on feedback, and use that to keep improving and iterating (:
That's why whilst character generation might be the same, big things like the management and creative tools available to you as a player in Museum have had a tonne of impactful work done so they are above and beyond anything we've had previously.
Take care - Abby (Junior CM, she/they ;P) <3
Thank you for the conclusive answer. But I think your profile picture alone just said it all.
I'll be avoiding games from your company from here on out.

My comment was not about "Woke", it was about being respectful in a conversation. You can have a discussion with different points of view and still keep it civil. Something you seem to know very little about. Anyways, you can continue to spew your hate, I am out.
