BigFry does a really good job showing what's up with this game
Is that a new one?! Gonna check it out...
Odd, considering he sat and tried to get people to buy into the hype around this game for several years. Honestly, if some idiot on youtube or whatever is telling you to buy into a game off of kickstarter that has an NDA. I'd walk... I mean run away, very far way and block that clown. Folks got $1,000 backer editions to have an item in game and some folks sat and sent money for food so the developers could "eat" because supposedly they weren't able to eat during development. But whatever, the guy has got beef with me for telling him off for promoting this scam a few years back and now he's "trying" to save @$$ now that the game is a complete flop. Enjoy.
Going to add some more to BigFryTV's beef. Go look at some of his videos, mostly pointing to ones in EA, read the title, then watch the video. Notice something? Yeah, clickbait.
This isn't his first video blasting Dead Matter and what people spend their money on shouldn't piss you off. Did you back Dead Matter? If not then you have nothing to be upset about. I backed them 3 years ago. Am I pissed? A little yeah, but thats what I get for paying for something before its ready.
Now why would I do that? I saw the warning signs years ago. Reported the failures since like 6 years ago and the such. Folks said I was stupid, called me names even. Devs blocked me on Facebook after asking the normal questions, BigFryTV blocked me after pointing out the nonsense in his videos. Now here we are after a few cycles of the calender and what are we talking about? A poorly made scam and hard working folks (most of you guys/gals are) are out good money, some are out 1000s of dollars over this game. But hey, folks like myself are the problem.
Seen other kickstarter games go bust too, oddly enough the warning signs are like bright lights, not hard to miss if you have eyes and can open them... along with a brain that can process it.
A metric ton of mismanagement, huge wastes of money and blaming anyone else. Paying themselves sometimes 12k to 14k a MONTH, paying 10k a month for a studio nearly nobody used...the list goes on. All of which they deny of course, even though their own documents were leaked
Not to mention having an NDA after stating they weren't going that route. Then clearing posts on Facebook of what was going on plus a few others that folks may know more about.
Side note, Alberta which the map is based on, looks nothing like what the game's level design looks like. Odd.
I think we all know the real reason for that NDA. The moment you left the gun range or other demonstrated areas, it was incredibly rough. But, it did have the excuse of being super early alpha. What's the excuse now in EA? With next to no changes, only evolving backwards?
Honestly? Beats me, rumor on a Twitch stream was that they had to nuke most or at least part of the game because stuff didn't work. But I wouldn't read to much into that rumor.
