Its entry after entry of people trying to get their money back.
If there is a Patreon out there now you should exercise extreme caution and due diligence before funding this further.

lol, we got scammed bro
Scammed implies the intent was to deceive, but I don't think that was ever the case with this. You can read comments on Glassdoor and the like, but people worked for the company and they were paid well, too (we should know, they used our money to do it). No, this isn't just some guy taking the money and running, I believe the intent was always to deliver the game they were hoping for.
The problem is that almost every review left by those ex-employees refers to incompetence at the company's highest levels, and if you've worked even just a couple of jobs in your life, you'll come to understand how rampant that is. Get a few years under your belt and invariably, sooner or later you'll end up working for some guy more useless than tits on a bull who has obviously slurped his way to the top. It's like a plague, they're everywhere.
That's the problem with Dead Matter. The guy wanted to make a great game but had no business leading a company or overseeing such a project, so things happened where priorities changed halfway through, huge chunks of code were thrown out and millions wasted.
That's what happened, here.
This game is going nowhere, not even in 2 years from now
Vein is phenomenal and lightyears ahead of this abandonware 😆
