closed alpha scam?

Those of us who bought the game before it came out paid for the game and we were also going to test the closed alpha before anyone else.
What was my surprise when I went in today to install it and see how the game is going and I see that the closed alpha has not been updated since last year and the link to the store sends you to another page where it no longer says "closed alpha" in the title and It asks me to buy the game again.
Does this mean that I, who already paid for the game, have to buy it again because my payment is only valid for the closed alpha?
I really feel disappointed and angry with the company towards the people we trust in them.
Contributing our money by buying the game before it came out in alpha, and above all I feel scammed!!

like Dopehat said, as a backer all you need to do is grab your Early Access key in the QI Software website just like you did when you redeemed your closed alpha key, follow this tutorial:
