One of the best tower defense games out there.

Great Tower Defense game, lots to do and replay. No predatory micro-transactions either, which is a huge plus.

Tower defense game with some role-playing aspects. Nice balance, not too hard, not too easy. A few levels require some planning.

One of the best stories for a tower-defense game of all time, and genuinely groundbreaking for the time. Its mechanics were fairly simply and intuitive, yet highly innovative. Highly recommend for the story alone.

It's relaxing but gets pretty challenging later on. You can go back to earlier missions to play them on a harder difficulty for bonus loot, and you still get a pretty decent chunk of xp and loot if you fail a hard mission, so there is plenty to do to progress if the main storyline gets too hard.

The 6 towers each have a strong identity, further reinforced by their skill tree. They can each equip one weapon and one piece of armor, boosting either their attack or defense (some monsters fight back!). I haven't seen any equipment with any special benefits, though, and the skill trees don't give you that significant of a choice, but the new abilities you get at certain thresholds are fun and there are interesting passives too.

It crashes like once per hour, but for some reason I'm very addicted. As far as tower defense goes, this is a good one.
