This game was pretty great but I wasn't able to keep progressing, at a certain point. Musta got too repetitive how many times the levels had to be grinded out.

Too each his own.. but i did not like this game.
The Tower defence aspect of this game get boring fast.

The HEALER in this game is BROKEN.
They are the characters that heals ur men and serves a vital part of the game. I'm on NG+ and playing some end game stuff and I CONTINUOUSLY lose because they don't heal my injured characters and just let them die. Like my guy is on the verge of death and they just stand there, doing nothing, with all cooldowns good to go. Even when I stack healers close by, they just stand there. It is absolutely INFURIATING when you're doing fine and just a little healing would've won you the game bu no, nothing. Like they're glitched.

There's also the issue where your saved formation, the placement of your characters on the map, does not save so when I restart to try again, nothing. I gotta put all the characters back on the map all over again. It sometimes works and it sometimes doesn't. Make it so that once I have their formation on the map and click for the first wave, it autosaves EACH AND EVERY TIME!

Otherwise, this game seems okay, I've definitely seen games that have better strategy usage and better look overall. The thorn enemies in this game is a bit too OP and harsh to melee attackers, you gotta go in and uncheck all the melee attacks or ur guys get shredded, even with bonus to health etc.

Unless you are already a fan or have ran out of good TD games, I wouldnt bother with this one. Its average at best.

The tower mechanic here is that you unlock heroes with classes, they then level up between levels and gain skill points along with a weapon and armor piece. This sounds great, you can also hire more of each class and level them as well. This is where the cracks show though. There arent really any options for building towers, they all have clearly good abilities and useless ones. So each new hire just becomes a copy, with maybe a few skill points shifted around.

This means fairly early into the game, you have already seen all the towers and how they work. You will work out how to place them in waves and probably just copy that for each level. There is nothing requiring that you think it through because each class has a clear reason to exist. The only time i found myself using my brain was just before the Knight class is introduced and the game makes you fight armor with no way to shred it. That felt great, actual challenge but sadly it never reappeared, at least as far as I got.

I did not complete this, i got completely bored by the lack of unlocks and tower advancement. Its trying way to hard to be an RPG, with nonstop talking all the time in between levels, before levels, after levels, and not trying hard enough to be a good TD as well.

The idea of a real-time tower defense mixed with a tactical RPG and a story is interesting. I had fun for a couple hours, but I only got about a third of the way through the game before the grinding became too much for me, and I wasn't invested in the story enough to continue.

DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME IF FLASHING LIGHTS BOTHER YOU.
The last few levels may give you a migraine, even if you don't normally get them.

The first time I beat the game I didn't notice the flashing. However, on attempting to beat the moderate difficulty it gave me a painful headache that lasted hours. The final seen is also just flashing white on a black screen. It was almost as if they wanted to cause the player pain.

Find a safe tower defense game.

I cannot play this game on my modern RTX card, I even looked up solutions online and modified my config files to make it work to no avail. Don't buy this game because it isn't playable on modern hardware.

The game has a lot of bugs. But it is fun, if it actually runs stable for an hour or so.
It WILL crash while playing. The question is not if, but how often per hour it crashes.
If you're lucky it only crashes once or twice every time you play it. If not, it crashes every 30 minutes or more.

The developers don't give a damn.
There are still more bugs, like the "still running" bug, that is known and documented for over 10 years in their community forums.
No dev reaction at all.
The game would be good, if it weren't for such bugs. So if you're lucky it works, otherwise ... better stay away.
Only worth it, if you get it very cheap, for the price of a cup of coffee or less.

Lots of random crashes. A known old bug can completely stop you progressing and requires a full delete and re-install.
