Wow, does this happen consistently? Does it happen every time or just the once?

every time, no exception,only 1 save slot used and almost finished my 1st playthrough
if there are any dev tools to analyze this or for protocolling things gimme :d

The best I can recommend is go to your game save data folder, and email me the files so I can try to reproduce. ([e-mail])

The button with a folder+wrench will show you your save data. Incidentally, as a workaround you can just copy/paste them directly from there to get around the need to export them with the button.
