Please use sub-forum for trades/coupon threads
We absolutely support players trading games and coupons, but the current threads are clogging up our main forum. I originally moved a bunch over, but we just can't have this kind of traffic drowning out the game-specific questions and threads. Any new threads posted to this main forum that are about trades or coupons will be deleted. Please use our sub-forum that was created specifically for that instead: http://steamcommunity.com/app/218410/discussions/3/.

Wouldn't it be better to create one single thread for every card/coupon/etc. trade for this game? Because there are very few people visiting the forums, this is far more intuitive, and I don't see how a single thread would be much of a problem for you. :) Still, I'll respect it and will go to the forums, I guess.

I'm happy to take suggestions. I don't do the trading thing, so I don't know what method is best. I would think a single therad would be hard to keep up with, but if the trades happen quickly that might be better. I honestly don't care as long as we don't continue to get flooded with threads. So if you have an opinion either way (either single thread in main forum or separate trade forum) feel free to weigh in.

The thing is, that the first place that people go, is the community hub. With a single pinned thread titled "Do you trading here", people could just post their cards or coupons there as the first thing they saw. And since they can Subscribe to the discussion, they'd get a message everytime someone posted there, I think it would be easier.
Doesn't hurt to try, you can always go back if it doesn't work. Cheers!

The problem I have is that I generally want to encourage trading. It's good for the ecosystem - some people make a profit, others get a discount on a game they want, and we get both sales and increased visibility. However, it's important to me that the forum primarily be a way for players to communicate with each other and with us, and not become a bunch of spam. So I want to find a good way to manage it. We do have a sticky now, the sticky just says to post in the sub forum rather than a single thread. It doesn't make a difference to me, I just thought it'd actually be better for those who want to trade.

The problem with the sub forum is just that people need to create an account, then wait a couple of days to link it with your Steam account, and most people don't bother to do it because it takes longer than just posting here. At least that was my experience, it was more troublesome to link the accounts than it should have.
But I understand your side, in the early days, the would hub was individual card posts, which is a pain.
Good luck with it anyway!

Ah, sorry - by "sub forum", I mean a Steam forum here that is designated as a trade forum. It's already created, and I don't think it needs any extra accounts or anything. Or am I misunderstanding something?

Oh, my bad then. On most games, the developers create a thread like this that redirects you to the actual steam forums (in a new window), but then, you have to create an account for the forum, and then link it to your real account, which took me 2 days to validate.
I see now what you did now, that's the best option, I think, thanks!
