Ice Mage needs the Chill on their first attack maxed out for maximum slowdown. If you have upgraded Keeper of the Flame they should use that for an extra 10%. Your Ice Mage's only job is slowdown the boss, so they never need to be upgraded once you summon them.
Berserker, max out Bleed, Speed, and the first 3 attacks including Flurry Crit. Berserker is doing damage and inflicting Bleed so everyone else does +60%. They never need to be boosted past level 3 once summoned. Regen can help them survive Thorns as well.
Knight, dealing pure damage. Max Sword Training and all your attacks besides Counter.
Healers should have Inspire maxed out for the damage boost, then max out heals. 1 Will be using Inspire to buff your Rangers, the other is keeping your Berserker alive. If you have upgraded Kozomon's Scepter, give that to the Healer with the Rangers.
Rangers, max out Sharp Shooter and Range Focus, then put points into all your attacks.
Azra, max out Frenzy. Use the Furious Start book.
No Dragons because their burn will cancel the slowdown from Chill, and they're too expensive to keep moving around.
Basic strat is summon all rangers with a Healer to buff them. Max them ASAP. You'll have to reposition them as the Super Sheep+ moves, so try to place them where they cover a huge portion of the track. Place your Ice Mage, Berserker, other Healer, and 1 Knight along the main path to Bleed, Chill, and damage the Sheep. 2nd Knight goes on the top right to deal with the non-Super sheeps. You'll have to move them around a lot. Use Frenzy whenever you can. Do all that and you should be good.
i appreciate the in depth answer, but im trying to get thru it with heroes only for the achievement so i can only one of each
Furious Start book is obtained from clearing Challenge 2 in New Game, so you should be high enough level to easily do that.
For playing on regular difficulty, just group up everyone at the point where the two paths meet. Slow Start book might also be helpful, which is obtained from Endless 1 on New Game. Make sure to max out your Ice Mage's AoE attacks. Dragon Fire spell will also be helpful as at a high level it can one shot the sheep.
First priority should be maxing out Berserker and Ice Mage, then Ranger, then everyone else. You can put Niru the Dragon behind the rest of the team to catch any sheep that slip through hopefully.
ty for all the tips, i was able to get past it by following some suggestions from your first post with moving the ppl at the end, and using the fire ability.
yeah i got stuck on the regular sheep level for a second there, it basically came down to me using the abilities at the right times lol,
Skip it and move on, complete the game, and then hire more people.
That wasn't the thread. It was to beat the level so they could progress through the story. That level is nasty on NG+ if you're doing Hero Mode. I failed it earlier cos there's just too many things to hit and they're too fast.
Came back with an upgraded Archshepherd staff and Wrenna basically soloed the level.
The only things I’d consider essential are:
All heroes at level 60 (obv)
Furious Start (useful since you’ll often need to reposition your heroes) and Book of Synergy (so you can make the super sheep bleed, burn, chill, and get poisoned),
The Eye of the Flame+ for Markos and the Wordlord Triumph+ for Ketta, and preferably—though not essential—Kozomon’s Scepter+ for Bakal.
Absolutely essential, though, is the Archshepherd Stave+ for Wrenna.
Other than that, just position your units well so that they’re always within Bakal’s Zeal range and the sheep. Until the sheep has cleared the upper corridor, keep Markos near the second spawn point to deal with the fast sheep, then have him join the group.
In general, if you want a benchmark to know whether you're doing enough damage, you need to deal at least 1 million damage for every tile the sheep travels in order to successfully complete the run. If you’re doing less, you’ll need to adjust your tactics.
