Book of Daring Glitch

I finally finished the last Main Game challange level, then tried equipping the Book of Secrets and the Book of Daring at the same time; due to their aesthetic similarity I though they might do something cool together.
When I tried testing them on the Extreme version of the second NG+ Quest (the Seleni fortress fishing one), and desummoned Wrenna pre-first wave, in order to test whether the Book Of Daring prevented relocation before the first wave (and also to move her). It did, so I restarted the level. This did not free her up.
I tried quitting to map and going back to that level, both before and after replacing the Book of Daring with Furious Start. This also did not work.
At the urging of my brother, I tried a different level (probably the Extreme version of the one right after the Ozimal bossfight, but I'm not certain), and was still unable to summon Wrenna, although Ice Mages 1/1 still showed in the Defenders bar. As I am playing Hero Mode, this presents a serious problem for me.
I had not and have not summoned any defenders besides Wrenna. I have closed the game, and am hoping that the condition will disappear when I reload from my save. If this is the intended behavior for the Book of Daring, I think it should be clarified in the description - it doesn't state any duration for its resummon ban, so I assumed it was "until end of level", or at most until unequipped.
If reloading from save doesn't work, I'll try a couple of limited-party quests, and if that fails, swapping out the Book of Secrets. Either way, this is a potentially game-breaking glitch, which needs to be addressed as soon as possible.
