Fall of Atreus is terrible
Edit Edit: I know the consoles light up red, I know they are the ones to interact with. I for sure found one, maybe a second, but could not interact with them. This also goes for the two other players that were with me. Bug? Maybe. Different consoles we needed? Maybe, really not sure.

Edit: Just to be clear, not the A, B, C and 1, 2, 3 part in Ballistic Engine. That's the Ballistic Engine mission. You fight Tyranids in that one. Fall of Atreus involves Chaos Marines. Just making sure we're all on the same page.

The part where you need to activate engineer's consoles to get the crane working again except there's no indicator for what needs to be interacted with. 3 people scrambling around in the area trying to figure out wtf to do with hordes of enemies dropping in. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I thought Ballistic Engine was terrible.

Yeah I know, I could look it up to know for the future. I just feel like if progression for a mission involves running around with our thumb up our ass not knowing what to do, it's terrible design.

Nope, you're referencing Ballistic Engine. My post is specifically complaining about Fall of Atreus. You know, the title you can read with your eyes.

Yeah my bad I don't remember the name of any missions aside from inferno, decapitation and reliquary.

I remember what you're talking about now but it looks like you already have some other helpful responses.

If only I didn't already check and find that the one (maybe two) wouldn't let me interact with them. Crazy.

If it was flashing red and wouldn't let you interact, then it's a rare bug and not really something that is relevant to the quality of the full mission.

I had this problem with the crane in this operation once. The team searched everywhere, looking for something to interact, and nothing. We eventually gave up and left the mission.

I hate to ruin your day but there IS an indicator. Its a flashing red light. Literally the entire thing you are crying about, you fabricated yourself.

Yeah, some of the objectives are not indicated very well.

In this case, like others have mentioned, it is a flashing light. Not to be confused with the consoles with red, non-flashing, lights. The flashing light will illuminate the wall around the console as it flashes, while the inactive consoles will have a steady red light that doesn't flash or illuminate anything.

In the middle of a fight with warp effects flickering all over the screen it can be difficult to pick out the correct consoles until you figure out exactly what to look for.

It was annoying and took ages first time around. But once you learn it, take command and do the controls yourself, and tag the trolley when it needs to move. I haven't really had any trouble with it since the first time.

All missions with chaos are garbage. Boring marines, shield minoris, snipers shooting through the walls.
Medicles Sep 17, 2024 @ 11:10am
Yeah, its the worst mission in my opinion, just because of the last zone with the battery train. Its not hard or challenging, just an annoyance.

I completely forgot about that part actually. I just finished running the mission from a quick match and the part I was complaining about here didn't even happen. The crane just worked, no engineer's consoles needed.

And then the battery charging part. Ugh, what a slog...

I've never seen the snipers shoot through a wall before, but yeah they're pretty damn annoying. A weak enemy that can die in one hit able to rip off chunks of armor and HP, lol. And yeah, I really cannot stand the shielded minoris.

Strangely, I like fighting the Chaos majoris and the Helbrute. Only thing I don't like is the teleporting around the majoris can do. That feels like... an unnecessary additional mechanic. But that's just my opinion.

First time me and my friends went to the mission and where welcomed with the same bug.
1. Somebody activated first console to kick start the crane and the timer start ticking to activate 2nd console.
2. I ran to 2nd console in last second or two and activated it.
3. While animation proceeded, that my character was pressing the buttons on console, timer in objective window CONTINUED TICKING, and in the middle of animation indicated that we failed the objective.
4a. Objective in a upper right corner said to start console activation again.
4b. Sound indication told us that we successfully activated crane and we need to wait until it lifts up.

Thee of us where first time on the mission, and didn't have a clear knowledge what to do. So we ran around for about 10 minutes to find anything to interact with, and after 3rd cleared wave we decided to TPK

Also I found bug report on official forum. If you wish this bug to be noticed, upvote it

It is not a question of listening, it is bugged. When the crane operation starts and you have to activate two of the Enginseers' Consoles within one minute, somtimes, there is only ony you can interact with.
Which by the way, breaks the stage, and eats up about 10 to 20minutes of game progress, in the same way the lagging servers, conection resetts and endless loading screens eat up your progess, and I think it will feel really fantastic, when you get the hang of surviving againts the hordes on higher difficulty to be stopped by the game being broken in that stage.
You may have noticed, but this is why your comment agitates that much.

Imagine having to use basic problem solving in a video game.
