Fall of Atreus is terrible
Edit Edit: I know the consoles light up red, I know they are the ones to interact with. I for sure found one, maybe a second, but could not interact with them. This also goes for the two other players that were with me. Bug? Maybe. Different consoles we needed? Maybe, really not sure.

Edit: Just to be clear, not the A, B, C and 1, 2, 3 part in Ballistic Engine. That's the Ballistic Engine mission. You fight Tyranids in that one. Fall of Atreus involves Chaos Marines. Just making sure we're all on the same page.

The part where you need to activate engineer's consoles to get the crane working again except there's no indicator for what needs to be interacted with. 3 people scrambling around in the area trying to figure out wtf to do with hordes of enemies dropping in. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I thought Ballistic Engine was terrible.

Yeah I know, I could look it up to know for the future. I just feel like if progression for a mission involves running around with our thumb up our ass not knowing what to do, it's terrible design.

It's pretty simple. If it's the point where you're waiting for the blockage to clear look for the flashing red lights. Find two of them. There's the console you need to interact with. Not every game needs to handhold you into using your brain to figure out what needs doing

Is this the part where the mission indicator says "A1", "B2", "C3" for example and there are 3 bays each with 3 consoles and they're all marked with letters A to C and numbers 1 to 3 that you can see if you look with your eyes?

You're supposed to read the sign there.
It's literally on the wall.

Tho the game did a bad job of telling you that... or did they?

Nope, you're referencing Ballistic Engine. My post is specifically complaining about Fall of Atreus. You know, the title you can read with your eyes.

this same people then make a thread how "hard" the game is with no reflection to their own skill :hunted:

Thanks for that bud. Problem is, I found some consoles lit up red but couldn't be interacted with. And a segment attempted by three people who couldn't find the consoles kinda tells me it's not as simple as you're making it out to be. Or maybe it was and the waves of enemies were distracting us too much.

Thanks for taking the "skill issue, git gud, game is not hard" approach though, I appreciate that.

Hey cool, I'm glad you read my post. I'm specifically talking about trying to find the consoles that needed to be interacted with but couldn't. I can't remember how long we survived running around trying to find them, it was definitely a long time.

But good for you bud. This is literally my first post in here and it's only about one specific part of a mission. Difficulty wasn't really being called into question here, more the unintuitiveness of this engineer's consoles part.

It literally tells you where to go :D

Who knows. If it was explained, it might have been during the Helbrute that came in or during the massive wave. If it was a one and done explanation and then the only thing we had to go off was "Find the engineer's consoles," you tell me if that's a good or bad way of telling the players.

Sounds like you're referencing Ballistic Engine. Too bad I'm talking about Fall of Atreus.

I think it was after you get into the safe zone, they have the console with similar mechanic to the boss room and tell you to press it.

But that room only have one console so you will always be correct, instead of giving us two and actually make us look at the wall and choose the right one.

While the current "tutorial" does work for me, I suppose it could be clearer.

You seem particularly hostile lol. You have to look for the flashing lights, they indicate where the afflicted terminals are. It won't be just a light on the console but one bright enough to light up the area around it. I'll be honest first time I tried it it took me a while to figure it out, died and failed the mission once or twice before I realized what I was lookin for
