Infinite Joining Server
Are other people having this issue almost every time they try loading in multiplayer?

I know there are a lot of server issues, but I see enough people that seem to be playing without issue, I wanted to ask y'all.

Has anyone found a fix if it is common? Google gave me a few suggestions but none them worked. VPN, Steam overlay, verify files, and turning off cross-play, none worked.

Check that you have space marine 2 installed on your main drive. it can get pretty laggy and anoying otherwise and it fixed all my issues when it came to running the game.

It's a common problem that not everyone has, and it is intermittent for the people that have it. So it has spawned all manner of wild "fixes" that have nothing to do with the problem. Consider that a caveat emptor for the following:

I have been having success lately by queueing for PvP, waiting till I see names on the list, then canceling it and switching back to Operations. That lets me connect without an interminable "Joining Server" screen and play exactly 1 game, at which point I have to do it again.

This actually seems to have worked, so far. I still have all of my other issues, but I have had a very slight performance increase and the joining server has not returned since. Where as I couldn't play even a single game before trying on different days and about 10+ times. Thank my friend.

have experienced infinite loading on occasion
i think its some issue with the connection / the lobby getting disbanded and the game being unable to handle it so it just derps out. Should get fixed for sure.

Only solution is alt f4 restart.

Game is installed on my main drive - i only have one - happens rarely enough that doing a random thing might give the illusion of it being solved.

For me it was consistent, I could get at most 1 load if even that before that would happen and I would have to restart my game.
Now I've played several mission back to back, and that was the only change I made between attempts. Though I am still running it through a VPN, so that may be helping in combination with the main drive switch.

If it helps you, I still have my steam overlay enabled, I have crossplay enabled, I verified after I moved my files to the C drive, I am running a VPN. Those are all the changed I tried. The C drive was the fix that seems to have done it for me. I will return and update post if my issues return.

Was having the opposite of your solution last night. Was able to join lobby for Operations, cancel out, then do Eternal War. But if I started up and tried to go directly into Eternal War then I'd get no lobby and it would take me offline after timing out. Eternal War was having a hard time finding people to play also, lot of 4 and 5 man teams I imagine because others were having same problem as me.

Many are experiencing this problem. I was monitoring my pc and found out it spikes att 100% many times, in everything, cpu,gpu,ram,net... so i bought more ram memory, and turned down my video setting all to low.. And it started working better. But still, happens from time to time.. But before turning down video settings and install more ram, i could not even connect som evenings..

pc specs i7 12700F
3060 TI
32gb ram.. 16 before i bought more.

turn off crossplay, helps with most connection/server issues. Probably that forced Epic integration borking things up for everyone.

I have found that static outbound ports (for the game's port ranges) fixes the "joining server" problem for me. So in my case, my router was randomizing the outbound port on the WAN side of NAT and for some reason the game servers ignored the origin port of my router, and just replied as if my gaming PC were sitting on the internet, not behind any type of NAT. By making the NAT mappings static, my problem has since disappeared. Hope this helps someone.
