is it just me or does bulwark feel a lot harder to actually parry anything then any other classes?
playing and fully leveling/unlocking tactical, assault, and vanguard, bulwark was next on my list. and while yeah, he can be neat and all but like... for some reason i find parrying with him specifically to be a pain in the ass. despite pressing the button it just doesnt seem to register half the time. and before anyone asks, no. i dont have a "block only" type weapon equipped

It is a bit harder because of blocking. You have to be careful not to hold the parry / block button too long.
You can parry with Bulwark? ♥♥♥♥ I must be bad, 'cause I too can just never get the parry, so I resort to perfect dodges instead if I want sidearm criticals.

Yep. The video Oh Heck posted above is pretty good.

It is absolutely funkier on Bulwark than on other classes using the same weapon traits, and that is absolutely silly... but we're stuck with it for now.

You can't hold the button with bulwark. You have to tap. Took me a second to realize that.

Bulwark parries are super sketchy right now. They're extremely difficult to do without a fencing weapon. Don't even bother trying to parry with balanced if you value your sanity. You block by holding the block button and parry by tapping the block button.

Bulwarks will never block with their weapon like the other classes; they will always use their shield. So if you're using a balanced weapon and tap block against a blue circle attack too late to parry it, you're going to get a big blue flash in your face and have your guard broken as if you tried to block it with your shield. And sometimes having a guard broken just knocks me back and sometimes it deals damage as if the attack wasn't blocked. I've given up on trying to reliably parry with anything other than a fencing weapon as bulwark.

Use fencing weapon to increase parry window, tap, dont hold block button, the blue flash is not telling you "Hey, press the parry button now" it is letting you know that the enemy is going to perform an attack that can be parried, you need to watch the enemy animation and parry the actual animated attack. Learn the various move sets the enemies use, eg. blue flash, warrior jumps backwards, then jump attacks forward (no blue flash) you parry at his actual attack, not when the blue flash occurs.

I hope i made sense in my ramblings :P

I've also heard claims that the Barbed Strangler warrior, specifically, has a bugged attack (double armed overhead, blue circle) that can ignore block and parry and must be dodged to be safe. Either this is true, or else the parry window on that particular attack is HIGHLY misleading in a way that no other attack in the game is. Haven't tested with a Fencing weapon yet in part because I know that using a fencing weapon will make me get lazy.

Yeah, it's weirdly harder than with any other classes, even with a fencing weapon.

Also one thing that I really hate in Operation is how you can't block projectiles with your shields like you do in PV.

What's the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ point of that shield if I can't do what it's supposed to do (and work so well in PVP) and rush toward enemies shotting at the squad?!

That would explain a lot. I've had mystery situations where I blocked a blue circle attack, my parry perk obviously triggered (the shock grenade effect) but I was also knocked back and damaged.

That's weird, my shield can block enemy ranged attacks in operations, even the red circle ranged attacks from majoris enemies. It won't block red circle ranged attacks from bigger enemies though, like missiles or zoanthrope/neurothrope purple beams of psychic doom.

Consistently parried consecutive multiple majoris enemies once I learned the timing of double tapping the block button and also rebound it to a key on the keyboard.

Same; I've got it mostly down except for the possibly-bugged Strangler warrior... but it's still ♥♥♥♥♥♥ weird that it's harder to parry on the class that has a shield. A tool for parrying, if you will.
